FAQ
Questions we get asked every week
If your question isn't answered here, call the shop. We'd rather talk it through than have you guess.
Do I need an appointment?+
Walk-ins are welcome, and we often have same-day availability for diagnostics, oil changes, and brake work. For larger jobs — engine, transmission, or body work — call ahead at (682) 246-3449 so we can reserve bay time and order parts.
Will you tell me what's wrong before you start working?+
Always. We diagnose first, then call you with what we found, what it will cost, and what can safely wait. Nothing gets repaired without your approval.
My check engine light is on. Is it safe to drive?+
It depends. A steady light usually means bring it in soon. A flashing light means stop driving and have it towed, because you may be damaging the catalytic converter. Either way, a parts-store code reader tells you where to look, not what to fix — bring it in and we'll test it properly.
What vehicles do you work on?+
Cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans — domestic and import. Everything from daily commuters to work vehicles.
How often should I change my oil?+
Most modern vehicles on full synthetic run 5,000 to 7,500 miles between changes, but your manufacturer's schedule and your driving habits matter. Short trips, heavy towing, and Texas heat all shorten the interval. We'll check your manual and give you a real number.
How long will my repair take?+
Most diagnostics, oil services, and brake jobs are done the same day. Larger work — engine, transmission, or body repair — depends on parts availability, and we'll give you a realistic timeline up front rather than an optimistic one.
Do you handle insurance claims for body work?+
We can provide written estimates and work with your insurer's process. Bring us your claim details and we'll walk you through what's covered and what isn't.
What forms of payment do you accept?+
Cash and all major credit and debit cards. Call us if you'd like to discuss options on a larger repair.
Ready to get your vehicle looked at?
Same-day diagnostics are often available. Call and talk to the people who will actually work on your car.
